About the Attraction
Open year-round (Tue–Sun), the MUNI Mendel Museum highlights the groundbreaking work of G. J. Mendel, the father of genetics, through modern exhibits and historical artifacts, including his handwritten research and teaching tools. The museum offers a deep dive into Mendel's life and scientific contributions, from his famous experiments with pea plants to his passion for meteorology and beekeeping. Guided tours in English are available if booked at least 4 days in advance on the Museum website. The Mendel Museum also organizes lectures, festivals and collaborations with Nobel Prize winners.
