About the Attraction
The Šipčanik (Shipchanik) wine cellar, nestled in landscaped grounds near Podgorica, was originally a military airport. It was transformed into a 7,000+ square meter cellar and is used by Plantaže, Montenegro's top wine producer. The cellar maintains a consistent temperature of 17-19°C, ideal for aging local wines and brandies. Visitors can take private or group tours, sample wines, and experience an authentic taste of Montenegrin tradition with local cheeses, dried meats, and Plantaže olive oil. The location is also available to wine lovers who would like to organize private events or to attend wine-themed workshops.
