About the Attraction

The Collegius Maius, or Grand College, is the oldest surviving building of the 14th-century Jagiellonian University. Today, the Jagiellonian University Museum exhibits scientific instruments used back in the day of renowned astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, one of its most famous alumni. The building is an example of late-Gothic architecture, featuring a central arcaded courtyard and intricately decorated interiors. Free entrance on selected days, guided tour in English are available for a more comprehensive experience.
