About the Attraction

Dating back to the 13th century, the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice in Polish) began as a local trade center and later transformed into a fashionable covered market. Today, tourists stroll under its arcades to admire the beautiful decorations and to buy original mementos of their stay in Krakow. Among the variety of items sold in the stands of the Cloth Hall you will find everything from handicrafts and amber jewelry to local delicacies. On the upper floor of the hall is the Sukiennice Museum division of the National Museum, Krakow (Closed on Monday, tours in English available).
